Danny M. Crabtree, age 70, of Osawatomie, Kansas, died December 1, 2015 at Miami County Medical Center, Paola, Kansas.

Danny was born August 20, 1945. He was the first of eight sons born to Eugene and Pauline (Morrow) Crabtree. He was born at Leachville, Arkansas and attended school there.

Danny served his country in the United States Navy during Vietnam. He was honorably discharged September 21, 1968.

He was united in marriage to Mary Jo Loun on July 27, 1984 at Wyandotte County, Kansas. They made their home for a short time in Kansas City, Kansas and then moved to Osawatomie where they have resided for 30 years.

Danny worked as a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry. He had also worked for Pro-Fit Cap in Paola, Kansas. He retired in 2007.

Danny was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being in the woods. He also enjoyed time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers Donnie, Michael, Alton, and Ronnie Joe.

He is survived by his wife Mary Jo of the home; his seven children Tim Crabtree (Laura) of Kansas City, Kansas, Ivan Crabtree (Dana) of Marianna, Arkansas, Mat Crabtree (Lacey) of Osawatomie, Elizabeth Crabtree (Shane) of Houma, Louisiana, Chris Crabtree (Eileene) of Osawatomie, Joseph Crabtree of Osawatomie, and Paul Crabtree (Kayla) of Osawatomie, three brothers Neal, Albert, and Steve all of Kansas City, Kansas; 17 grandchildren and great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.

Following the visitation, the family and friends will gather at 38310 Bethel Church Road, Osawatomie, KS, 66064 to continue the celebration of Danny's life.
