Bruce D. Voigts, age 77, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Thursday, June 18, 2015 after battling lung cancer for only four short months.

Bruce was a proud family man. As his family grew, his heart grew with pride for each one of them.

In his many years of owning Voigts Trucking, he enjoyed the fellowship of many along the open road. After retirement, he enjoyed working on Sutherland Ranch where he vowed it kept him young.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marlene; his children Pamela Voigts Stainbrook (Gary), David Bruce Voigts (Karen), and Stacy Voigts Ptacek (Frank); his brother James Voigts (Gail), his sister Mary Ruth Center; his nieces Cecily Story (Greg) and Olivia Lippens (Jeff); 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and two great nieces.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents Myron E. and Helen Hunter Voigts and his daughter Elisabeth Voigts Miller of just three months ago.

Honorary pallbearers are Jim Voigts, David Voigts, Gary Stainbrook, Kervin Miller, and Frank Ptacek.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lighthouse Presbyterian Church to be used toward building funds.
